This policy explains how Remodeling Investment Group ("we", "us") collects, uses, shares and keeps information when you visit remodelinginvestmentgroup.com (the "site") or ask us for an offer on your property. We buy houses directly from homeowners in Hampton Roads, Virginia. We do not sell your personal information.

What we collect

Information you give us

When you fill out a form on the site, we collect what you type in, which can include:

your name, phone number and email address;
the property address and details about the property, such as its condition, occupancy and repairs it needs;
your situation and timeline, if you choose to tell us; and
anything else you write in a notes or message field.

Your consent record

Our form has an optional, unchecked box that lets you agree to calls and texts. With every submission we record whether you checked that box, the exact consent wording you were shown, the version of the form, and the date and time. We keep this record so that we can prove what you agreed to, and so that we never contact you in a way you did not agree to.

Information collected automatically

When you submit a form, our systems also record:

your IP address and the country it is associated with;
your browser and device type (the "user agent");
the page you submitted the form from; and
the date and time of the submission.

Like most websites, our hosting provider also keeps short-lived technical logs of page requests for security and reliability.

Cookies, analytics and other services

Depending on how the site is configured, some pages may use these third-party services:

Google Analytics, to understand which pages are useful and how visitors find us. It uses cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser, and how you arrived at the site. Google's own privacy policy governs its use of that data. You can block it with your browser settings or Google's opt-out browser add-on.
Cloudflare Turnstile, to tell people from spam bots on our forms. It may process technical signals from your browser for that purpose.
Google address autocomplete, to suggest addresses while you type one. When it is on, the characters you type into the address field are sent to Google to look up matching addresses.

We do not use advertising cookies to follow you across other websites.

How we use your information

to answer your request and look at your property;
to prepare and discuss a cash offer with you;
to contact you by email, and by phone call or text message only if you agreed to that;
to keep a record of your consent and of any request to stop contacting you;
to protect the site and our forms from spam, fraud and abuse;
to understand how the site is used and to improve it; and
to meet our legal obligations.

Calls and text messages

Agreeing to calls and texts is optional. It is not a condition of any purchase, and you can ask for an offer without checking the box. If you agree, you can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text message, or by asking us on a call. We honor a request to stop texts for at least 10 years. We only place calls and send texts between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. in your local time. Our SMS terms explain the text program in full.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your phone number or your consent to receive texts with any third party for their own marketing.

We share information only in these situations:

Service providers who run parts of the site and our lead handling for us, such as website hosting and form processing, email delivery, spam protection, analytics and address lookup. They may use the information only to provide their service to us.
People needed to complete a sale you choose to make, such as a title company, settlement agent or closing attorney.
When the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers or others from fraud or harm.
If our business changes hands, the records would transfer to the new owner, who must keep honoring the choices you made, including any request to stop contact.

How long we keep it

Form submissions and consent records (including the exact consent text shown, time, IP address, country, user agent, page and form version) are kept for at least five years, so we can show what each person agreed to.
Requests to stop calls or texts are kept and honored for at least 10 years from the date of the request.
Records of a completed purchase are kept as long as tax, real estate and other laws require.

We delete or de-identify other information when we no longer need it.

Your choices

Texts: reply STOP to any message to stop texts. Reply HELP for help.
Calls: tell us on any call that you do not want more calls.
Email: ask us to stop, or use the unsubscribe link if an email has one.
Your information: you can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. We will do so unless we must keep it, for example the consent and opt-out records described above, which exist to protect you. See how to reach us below.
Cookies: your browser settings let you block or delete cookies.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information you send us, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and access controls on the systems that store submissions. No method of sending or storing data is perfectly secure, so please do not send us bank account numbers, Social Security numbers or passwords through the site's forms.

Children

The site is for adults who own or have authority over a property. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Other websites

Pages on the site may link to government offices, courts and other websites. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. A change never reduces the protection of a consent or opt-out choice you already made.
